Success at the British Rowing Masters Championships

Take two crews to the British Rowing Masters Championships and come back with a silver and gold medal!

What we may have lacked in numbers of crews compared to other clubs at the British Rowing Masters Championships, we certainly made up with quality.

Our women’s coxed four had a great race in the Women’s Masters B/C Coxed Fours event comfortably winning the Silver medal and just missing out the Gold to Bewdley RC by a length. A fantastic effort by the crew who have had fun all season having to race in senior events taking on the youngsters!

Not to be outdone, the men’s coxless four were on a mission to retain their title from last year in the Masters B Coxless Fours event. This years entry was significantly bigger than last years and both heats of the event showed that this would be a four way race for the medals.

In the final the guys kicked into an extra gear and did the job, winning the final and securing the Masters B Coxless Fours title for a second year running!

A huge well done to both crews on their medals, a special thanks to Craig for towing and thanks to British Rowing for a great day of racing.
