BackgroundRowing is one of Britain’s most successful Olympic sports. It is a sport of two extremes. It is a terrific sport for the serious athlete wanting to push themselves to the limit and is also and a wonderful, low impact, form of exercise for health, recreation and well-being in the outdoors.
Leeds Rowing Club opened its boathouse doors to new members in May 2006 and since this time we have rapidly grown to a membership of more than forty. We are a young club which is blessed with great equipment for a new club and has a wealth of experience to draw on from a number of very experienced coaches and rowers.
The club was set up by a small group of people who are passionate about creating a place for the people of Leeds to row without the need to travel to York, Doncaster or Bradford for the opportunity. Club wins

York Summer Regatte June 2008
Bradford Regatta June 2008

Durham Regatta May 2008
York Spring Regatta May 2008
